I was surprised how quickly these puffed up after a quick soak—they were flat as paper one minute and full-sized the next. The texture is firmer than a typical yellow sponge, but it scrubs well without scratching my nonstick pans. They do dry out completely overnight, which is a big plus for keeping

I was surprised how well these hold up after a few weeks of daily use, and they don't get that sour smell like plastic sponges do. They expand nicely once they're wet, and they're just as good at scrubbing as the ones I used to buy.

These expanded nicely to a good thickness for scrubbing, though they started to fray a bit around the edges after about a week of use. For a natural sponge that composts, the durability is still pretty decent.
