I wasn't sure about the plaid at first, but in person it's subtle and gives the hat real character. The snapback adjusts easily, and the kapok keeps it breathable even on warmer days.

The kapok makes this noticeably lighter than my old cotton snapbacks, and I forget I'm wearing it by mid-afternoon. The plaid print is subtle enough to wear with almost anything, and the snapback adjusts easily without pinching.

I wore this on a three-hour hike and barely noticed it was on my head — way lighter than the wool caps I'm used to. The plaid pattern also got a couple compliments at the trailhead, which I wasn't expecting.
